I have decided today will be the last day I update this site until Friday. Friday is the day I will have the totally new layout design, also it will be on a new server, not Tripod. This server is a lot faster, and the graphics on the new page will be faster too because I am using more transparency and more "web" colors. Expect your loadup times to decrease by more than half on this page. Also the new server uses cgi-script so we will be putting the BBS if I can figure out how to do it, I tried today and had some problems, hopefully I can resolve these. I will also try to add some new content along with the page since I will not be updating this page tomorrow. I will inform you on friday what the new address is and what is the new plan.

Alright I finally got everything up, it was a total of 6 different reviews! Here they are: Real3d Starfighter AGP video card, the Apple iMac computer, the FIC VA-503+ motherboard, the FIC VB-601 motherboard, the Adaptec 2930U2 SCSI card, and the cable modem review. Today is a very good day for TechnoComp. We got the SCSI review up yesterday, click here to see it. The good news is that we made a merger with CPU Station and we will be getting all of their reviews and posting it on this site. I will inform you on which review they are later today when I upload, there should be about 4 of them. Also I have the cable modem review ready and I will put it in when I update the page with all the new reviews from CPU Station. This means our content is increasing by two today. Also we would like to add that in order to keep up with writing reviews and articles, we have hired Andrew Marbach for us. So start getting ready to look for some articles and reviews by him. He has a cable modem on his computer, so we are also contemplating wheter or not to get our own domain at www.technocomp.com, I'll update you with more information on that when we find out what we are doing. Also this weekend expect a totally new renovation on this site. I know it's only been a week since we have been up but I just don't like the white background. I am looking into something black. Also I will be trying to add a bbs to our site. I am working with the cgi script right now, and seeing if it is possible to do this on Tripod, if so expect that along with the new site renovation.

We finally got the article explaing SCSI up! This is a very in depth article explaining SCSI, it even shows you how to install a SCSI card, so check that out. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to have the cable modem review up tonight. The reason for this is because I have not had a chance to talk to Angel (the person writing the review). We will most definitly have it up by tomorrow, so look for that then. Sorry about the delay on that.

Today we will not be able to update until most likely around 10:00 Eastern Standard Time since I will be out. But at 10 I will probably upload the cable modem review and an article written by Ian Hoppe explaining SCSI. This is a pretty in depth article so check it out when I upload it. We also got an e-mail criticizing some of the stuff we do. Actually we are very glad that we recieved this because all it will do is make our site better because we know some of the different things we need to work on. This will most likely be the only update today since I probably will be away all day. I finally got up the article on 3dfx acquiring STB Sytems, you can check that out by clicking here. I will also most likely have the review on the cable modem by Angel Colon up by tomorrow....we are still working out all the little fixes on that page.

Today was a pretty good day for TechnoComp in terms of hits. Today had the highest amount of hits so far, and it's only 8:00. We are goin places baby!!! Thanks to the other sites that put our link on and www.agnhardware.net who put a link to our site on the PC-DVD and Sony CDU711 reviews. Hopefully more sites will follow because I e-mailed a bunch of them. Also I have e-mailed Rivazone twice and they still will not fix the link on their link site, so I am starting to get a little bit frustrated with that. I still haven't had a chance to talk to Ian about his article, but my friend Angel is in the process of writing a review on his cable modem, so look for that soon, we just need to fix it up a little bit and hopefully it will be posted tonight. Also as you can see I took out the poll with the mailing list and just decided to put a mailing list. You can join by adding your e-mail address in the box. Also I put a new poll up, I have decided to put one up every week, if you have any ideas for topics please e-mail me at TCsitemaster@hotmail.com. We could use some because we would like to make the poll about something that interests you and that you would like to know from your fellow users. I am thinking about writing a review on the Iomega Buz video capture utility. We will see how that goes since I can't really benchmark it. Also I finished up the timeline for the CPU Roadmap article so check that out. Alright after a couple hours I finally finished up a review for the Sony CDU711 32X CD-ROM drive. Check out the review by clicking here. Earlier today I tried to start the review for the PC-DVD drive but the benchmarking program was giving me an error. I will work on it some more and if I can get it to work I will do the review tonight. I'm pretty sure I can get it to work, so check back here tonight to check out the review if I get it up.

I am hoping tonight we will get a lot accomplished. I will try to write at least 2 articles and a review tonight. Ian is writing about the recent deal with 3dfx and STB Systems. That should be up on the site either sometime tonight or tomorrow. Most likely we will get it up tonight though. I am almost for sure going to do a review on the Creative PC-DVD Dxr2 drive tonight. Ok it's 6:21 AM and I am uploading the page again because last night I worked on it a little more but didn't get a chance to re-upload the new changes. There is a poll we are having to see if TechnoComp should have a mailing list, so please vote for that, because we want to know what you think, the poll is right under the contact button on the menu on the main page. For people that have been trying to access this webpage for www.rivazone.com it should start working the right way sometime today, there was just a link problem, hopefully when this is fixed it will increase the amount of people that come here. I also put up the advertising page, it looks pretty crappy so for now it will be just temporary, but if you are interested check it out.

Here is another update for the day....I wrote an article talking about Intel breaking the 1 GHz microprocessor barrier, you can check that out by clicking here. I also made a little banner right under the contact button in the main menu in which anyone can use to link up to this site. Also right now TechnoComp will only charge $50 a week to advertise on the main page right on top, so anyone that is interested in that jump on it as soon as possible because there is only ONE banner going up there really is no banner competition for the time being. Alright we have another review up today. It's by Ian Hoppe, and it is a hard drive comparison of 5 different hard drive comparisons, check it out by clicking here. We are planning to have a review on an dual voodoo 2 card by Obsidian soon, we just need to wait until the card comes in and the review should be up soon after that. This site also shows up in Alta Vista now so we should be getting even more visitors soon. Expect more links from search engines and other related sites going up soon. I actually got some extra time to work on the site tonight, and I finished up the article for the processors: 2000 and beyond. That took me most of the night. Ian is working on a hard drive comparison and should be done and up on the website by tomorrow, so look forward to that. I also fixed a bunch more little bugs, so now I think most of the little bugs are fixed. All I have left to do on whats done so far is to put up a timeline for the processor article. I'm still trying to figure out ways to get more clicks onto my page so if you anyone that will put my link on their site e-mail me at TCsitemanager@hotmail.com, it would be a real big help, thanks. Well today I finally got started with getting people on my site. I got linked up to www.rivazone.com, so if you can check them out because they hooked me up ya know. I am expanding my site a little bit more by adding a links page, so if anyone from another site that has related topics is interested in getting their link on my site e-mail me at TCsitemanager@hotmail.com. I made a few fixes on some pages, and started up the new article for upcoming processors up to the year 2000 and beyond. Click here if you want to check that out. I also put up the legal, about, and advertising pages, there is nothing on them yet but they are up. Expect something soon. I also hired someone, his name is Ian Hoppe and he will be working with me. He is getting a cable modem soon so we might be moving our server onto his computer and getting the domain www.technocomp.com , that would be AWESOME if we get that working. He will be helping me with mostly everything. Also another person that will be helping me out with graphics and webpage design is Ryan Marshall.
